We need to put the pressure on the City of LA to get moving on their ADU ordinance!
The City of Los Angeles has been sitting on their draft ADU ordinance for a while, and its time they picked off where they left. A lot of people are waiting for the results of the final version of the City’s ADU ordinance before they go forward with their housing plans, including those with movable tiny houses! If you recall, this past spring the Planning and Land Use Commission motioned to include language for movable tiny houses in the final ADU ordinance. We have not seen this language yet, and would really like to!
Taking 10 minutes to write to your elected official in support of the ADU ordinance and in including language for movable tiny houses will really help to get things going!
Legally Living Tiny – Temecula
12:30 pm – 3:30pm
Living tiny might be more complicated than you anticipated. With zoning, state regulations, local building inspections, and national codes, there’s a lot to consider when trying to legally live full time in any home. In this workshop you’ll learn the different legal definitions of different housing options, where you can park each option, and what codes are relevant. This workshop will have a focus on California with most examples from Temecula and the City & County of Los Angeles.
Admission is a suggested donation of $10. Cash donations accepted at the door.
